Biography :
A Soviet artist, poet, painter and graphic designer who founded the "Second Odessa Avant-Garde", Sokolov studied at the Odessa School of Fine Arts from 1935 to 1939. He studied with Teofil Fraerman, an artist who also belonged to Odessa "Independent", he was close to Rouault, Chagall and Matisse.
